Part of our effort is to have some of our products certified by Öko-tex and also to better label those products that are a good environmental choice. Öko-tex certified products, a good environmental choice

Öko-tex is a voluntary labeling of primarily textile products that shows that they do not contain any substances that are hazardous to skin and health. There are also other products that we have tested with the same tough labeling and now have certificates for these as well. Since the use of chemicals is minimized in the manufacture of these products, it can be seen as an indirect environmental label, even if the raw materials are not organically produced. In order for a product to be labeled with the Öko-tex label, it must undergo extensive tests and inspections and all its components must be carefully checked. The content of substances harmful to the environment and health, such as formaldehyde, pesticides, PCBs, heavy metals and other chemical residues in the products must not exceed internationally accepted limit values. These limit values ​​are continuously updated as new knowledge is gained in the field. The criteria and maximum permitted values ​​are often at the forefront in the field, meaning they include not only substances prohibited or controlled by law but also other substances that have been scientifically assessed as harmful to health. There are a few different classes of Öko-tex, where the requirements are set slightly differently depending on how the product is normally used. The more contact with the skin, the greater the requirements. Our products are certified in Class 4, mainly materials intended for "decoration", e.g. tablecloths, curtains and carpets, but also textile wallpapers and the like. In our Product Catalog we have marked the products that have the "Safe Textile" label. More and more certified products are being added all the time and if you are unsure, contact your salesperson and we will help you.
